Celebrating 20 years of Weaving the Fabric of a
Better Community!
On November 15,
2006, nearly 300 people joined in to celebrate the success of the
Community Foundation’s first 20 years at the 20th Annual Report
to the Community. With over $15 million in grants and scholarships awarded
to date and assets now totaling over $35 million, the Community Foundation
wants to thank everyone – our donors, trustees, nonprofit leaders, and
sponsors – for contributing to our 20-year record of success and for
making the evening particularly special.

2006 Wertheimer
Fellow for Excellence in Volunteerism award winners Cecilia Bach,
Marlene England, and Jane and Charles Smith with Community Foundation
President Betsy Day, original incorporators Jerry Offutt and Don Linton,
and past and present Board Chairmen Hunt Hendrickson and Ted Gregory.

Having received a
donation from The Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick Fund, Special
Inspirations Founder Mike Koval spoke of the impact the donation has had
on children with special needs.
