Start a Fund
The generous citizens of Frederick County are creating new funds every day. And you can too. It’s easy. All you really need is the desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of those around you. To get started, you will have to set aside a minimum of $25,000 and also consider the following:
- Whether you’d like to make your gift now or later
- A suitable name for your fund
- The gift you’d like to give
- The type and purpose of the fund
- Amount of life income interest (if any)
If you’d like to contribute less than $25,000, don’t worry. You don’t have to be wealthy to be welcomed. Community members can make a charitable contribution of any size by either joining the Acorn Society, contributing to a Field of Interest Fund, or deciding on a planned gift.
Funds can be created through a bequest, an outright gift of cash, personal property, securities, life insurance, retirement assets, real estate, and more. Learn how you can impact Frederick County by downloading a copy of "Create Your Legacy - Your Guide to Charitable and Planned Gifts."
