The Community Foundation of Frederick County administers grants to nonprofit organizations providing direct benefits to the people of Frederick County, Maryland.  Funding may be used for one-time purchases, capital expenditures, start-up costs for programs in existence less than three months at the time of application, fulfillment of wishes, camperships, activity subsidies, or other purposes as outlined in the application. The Community Foundation grant cycle begins August 15 of each year, with grant applications due by October 1.  The Grants Committee carefully reviews each grant application and awards are announced by late December.
