FREDERICK, MD – December 23, 2014: During its recent FY2015 strategic and discretionary grantsmaking cycle, The Community Foundation of Frederick County provided $384,137 to 36 area nonprofits dedicated to improving lives and enhancing Frederick County. These grants include the Community Foundation's Strategic Grants supporting the areas of children and youth, health needs, and basic human needs.

The Community Foundation is a leading source of grant funding in Frederick County. Grants supporting the arts, legal aid, historic preservation, agriculture, health and human services, education, cultural understanding, animal welfare, scholarships and other civic causes are provided annually to a wide range of nonprofits who apply through the online grant application process.

Frederick, MD – December 22, 2014: The Community Foundation of Frederick County is pleased to announce that its scholarship application is available for the 2015-2016 academic year D8B 7123 LowResbeginning Thursday, January 15, 2015. By completing one general application, students will be considered for scholarships from more than 200 funds. Scholarship monies have increased by 72 percent for the 2015-2016 academic year, with $950,000 available.

FREDERICK, MD – December 16, 2014: Employees of all Maryland Public School Systems are eligible to apply for one of three $2,000 scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year.
