The Jessica Lee Murphy Memorial Fund was founded by her parents, Sue and Don Murphy, and her brother, Brad, with contributions given at the time of her death. Jessica was a student at Governor Thomas Johnson High School where she was known for her infectious smile, her love of food, family and friends, as well as her athletic abilities. Since 2000, scholarships have been awarded annually to graduating seniors who have a clean driving record, participate in sports and have solid academic records.

“The golf tournament serves as both an opportunity to promote safe driving and to raise funds to keep Jessie's scholarship fund viable,” said Mr. and Mrs. Murphy. “We are humbled and honored by the support from family, friends and the community in response to the tournament.”
