5/10K Run and Art at the Point Festival to Benefit Community Foundation Funds

FREDERICK, MD – September 14, 2011: The Point of Rocks Ruritan Club will host a 5/10K Run and Art at the Point Festival on Saturday, September 24, 2011 to benefit The C&O Canal Current Initiatives Fund and The Point of Rocks Ruritan Community Service Fund. These funds are two of more than 600 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The running course begins at the C&O Canal National Historical Park, mile 48 at Point of Rocks, MD. Art at the Point will follow the race with festivities starting at 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The outdoor festival will feature up to 50 artists with fine arts and crafts, a variety of performing entertainers, food, baked goods, and live bluegrass music playing throughout the day by Ernie Bradley & Grassy Ridge Band, The Main Line Gravy Soppers, Old Time Frederick, and the Clustered Spires Chorus.
