Community Foundation Welcomes Three New Trustees
FREDERICK, MD – October 21, 2011: The Community Foundation of Frederick County welcomes three new members to its Board of Trustees: Debra Borden, Esq., Mark Mayer, CFP, and Dale T. Summers, CPA.
Debra Borden, Esq. is an attorney with Linowes and Blocher, LLP and specializes in real estate, municipal and administrative law. Ms. Borden’s professional affiliations include the Frederick and Montgomery County Bar Associations, the Maryland State Bar Association, Vice Chair, Board of Trustees for Frederick Community College, and Secretary for the Frederick County Charter Board.
Mark Mayer, CFP, is Senior Vice-President of Investments with The Will Group at Merrill Lynch in Frederick, MD. Mr. Mayer serves as the Chairman for The Will Group Foundation, is a member of the Board of Trustees for Calvary United Methodist Church, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County.
Dale T. Summers, CPA is Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer with Woodsboro Bank. Mr. Summers serves as Chairman of the Board for Frederick Community College Foundation, Treasurer for the Board of Directors with Goodwill Industries Monocacy Valley, and a board member with Spires Brass Band.

The Community Foundation of Frederick County, a public charity, was founded in 1986 by a group of community citizens as a conduit for donors to fulfill their charitable dreams by establishing permanent, named, component funds that award grants and scholarships to nonprofits and deserving students. To date, the Community Foundation has more than 615 funds that support health care, the arts, human service agencies, animal welfare groups, environmental organizations, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, scholarship programs, and other civic causes.
