Homewood at Crumland Farms Receives Grant for Willows Memory Care Unit
FREDERICK, MD – November 9, 2011: A grant in the amount of $25,499.76 was made recently to Homewood at Crumland Farm, from The Geraldine Virts/Jack Brady Memorial Fund for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders, one of more than 615 funds managed by The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The grant supports Homewood’s Willows Memory Care Unit for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. Since 2002, the fund established by Edgar Virts in memory of his wife, Geraldine, and his coach and mentor, Jack Brady, has provided almost $200,000 in grants for the Willows Memory Care Unit.
