KOREAN WAR VETERANS CHAPTER #142 ANNOUNCES
6TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT ON JUNE 21

May 24, 2007:  Golf and fun will fill the area as The Korean War Veterans Chapter #142 holds its 6th Annual Golf Tournament on June 21 at Glade Valley Golf Course, Walkersville, Maryland. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Korean War Veterans Chapter #142 Scholarship Fund held by the Community Foundation of Frederick County.

Shumaker Roofing is this year’s Corporate Sponsor. Luncheon Sponsors are Farmers & Mechanics Bank and Lady Supporters of KWVA Chapter 142. Gold sponsors include Frederick Mutual Insurance Company, The Perkins Group Real Estate Teams, and Ruth and Chip Chipley/ Rosalie and Glenn Wienhoff.  Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. The entry fee is $60 per player. The Korean War Veterans Chapter #142 Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to students who are direct bloodline descendants of those who served in the United States military and who are eligible for membership in the Korean War Veterans Association. To date, ten scholarships have been awarded to area students.

Proceeds from both the golf tournament and individual contributions continue to grow The Korean War Veterans Chapter #142 Scholarship Fund, making future scholarships possible.
