GARDEN CLUB SUPPORTS
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION’S HELEN SMITH FUND FOR CHILDREN
May 2, 2007: Tasker’s Chance
Garden Club members Sonja Rasmussen and Diane Wilkinson present
Community Foundation Chairman Ted Gregory with a $1,000 contribution
to The Helen L. Smith Scholarship Fund for Children and the Arts held
by The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
The Helen L. Smith Scholarship Fund for Children and the Arts was
established in celebration of well-known Frederick artist Helen
Smith’s 100th birthday in 1994. The purpose of the Fund is to provide
support for children and youth who wish to explore the visual arts
through classes at The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center.
