Maryland Master Farmers Start
Scholarship Fund
at Community Foundation – Applications Accepted through March 1
February 1, 2008: Dedicated to promoting
the rich agricultural history of the beautiful State of Maryland and
wanting to ensure that future generations will pursue a career in
agriculture, members of the Maryland Master Farmers – C. Rodman Myers,
Mehrle Ramsburg, Jr., Franklin S. Gladhill, and DeWalt Willard, Jr. –
turned to The Community Foundation of Frederick County to establish
The Maryland Master Farmers Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are
available for the 2008-2009 academic year.
With the March 1 deadline for scholarship applications fast
approaching, the Master Farmers encourage students interested in
pursuing a post-secondary education in agriculture or a related field,
or farmers interested in coursework to enhance their knowledge of the
farming business, to apply.
“Agriculture is integral to the success of the State of Maryland, and
its importance in our lives should never be overlooked,” say the
Master Farmers. “The Maryland Master Farmers Scholarship Fund at the
Community Foundation will help interested students to become better
farmers through education.”

Foundation’s office at 312 East Church Street, Frederick. Additional

Those interested in ensuring the future of agriculture throughout the

Master Farmers Scholarship Fund. To do so,

Foundation of Frederick County and mailed to 312 East Church Street,
Frederick, Maryland 21701 with the fund’s name inserted in the check’s
memo line.
