Frederick County Agricultural Viability Fund Accepting 
Grant Applications through March 27

Frederick, Maryland; January 9, 2009: Grant applications are now being accepted through March 27, 2009, for The Frederick County Agricultural Viability Fund held by The Community Foundation of Frederick County.

The Fund provides grants for any farmer or farmers’ market located in Frederick County, Maryland, seeking funding assistance for marketing and promoting the farm, farm activities, farm products, and/or farmers’ market.

Grant applications are due at the Community Foundation office, located at 312 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland, 21701, no later then 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009. Grant applications with guidelines can be downloaded by clicking here or obtained at the Community Foundation office. All applicants will be notified of the status of their grant request by May 1, 2009. Additional information is available by calling 301-695-7660.

The Frederick County Agricultural Viability Fund was founded by the Board of County Commissioners of Frederick County on behalf of the Agricultural Business Council of the Office of Economic Development to provide additional support to the agricultural community. Questions about the grant application should be directed to the Office of Economic Development at 301.600.3037.
