for Community Foundation's 2009 Family Relief Fund
August 28, 2009: Applications for fourth quarter grant funding from The Community Foundation of Frederick County’s 2009 Family Relief Fund are available beginning September 1 for nonprofits providing immediate relief to Frederick County residents experiencing distress due to current economic conditions.
Quarterly grants are awarded throughout 2009 to area nonprofits providing food, shelter, medical services, dental care, counseling, utility assistance, and job training. Grant applications, including eligibility criteria and due dates, may be downloaded from the the Community Foundation’s web site –

here to do so – or stop by the Community Foundation’s office at 312 East Church Street, Frederick. All fourth quarter grant applications are due at the Community Foundation’s office by September 15, 2009.
The Community Foundation created The 2009 Family Relief Fund to support nonprofits in meeting the increased demand for their services due to the economic crisis. Because of the generosity of the Frederick County community, grants totaling more than $22,000 have been awarded to date.
