Grant Applications for 2009
Family Relief Fund Available March 1
February 25,
2009: Applications for second quarter grant funding from The Community
Foundation of Frederick County’s 2009 Family Relief Fund are
available beginning March 1 for nonprofits providing immediate relief
to Frederick County residents experiencing distress due to current
economic conditions.
Quarterly grants are awarded throughout 2009 to area nonprofits
providing food, shelter, medical services, dental care, counseling,
utility assistance, and job training. Grant applications, including
eligibility criteria and due dates, may be downloaded from the home
page of the Community Foundation’s web site or by stopping by
the Community Foundation’s office at 312 East Church Street,
Frederick. All second quarter grant applications are due at the
Community Foundation’s office by March 13, 2009.
The Community Foundation created The 2009 Family Relief Fund to
support nonprofits that have seen their budgets stretched to the limit
as they serve residents suffering hardships because of the economy.
Those who wish to make a meaningful difference in the lives of
Frederick County residents may make a secure, online donation to The
2009 Family Relief Fund by visiting the web site and clicking on the
information readily available under “headlines” on the left hand
side of the home page. Donations by
check may also be made to The Community Foundation of Frederick
County, with The 2009 Family Relief Fund noted in the check’s memo
line, and mailed to 312 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701.
All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
