Every May, the Community Foundation celebrates
the generosity of Cornerstone Society members
with a luncheon in their honor. The 2007
Cornerstone Society Appreciation Luncheon was held on May 15,
and celebrated "Lessons Learned" – the lessons of
our Cornerstone Society Members that led to
their philanthropy through estate planning.
Thank you, Cornerstone Society Members!
Your wisdom and foresight will leave a lasting
legacy throughout Frederick County.

Community
Foundation intern, Jordyn Dowd, helps Nancy and
Richard Stine, Jack Leishear, and Dottie Green
with their “homework” assignment – to write down
a lesson learned that inspired their membership
in the Cornerstone Society.

Merle Guyton and Dr. John George
spoke of their own lessons and why planned
giving is so important for the future well-being
of Frederick County.

We also learned that our Special Events
Committee is very creative- their tablescapes
and centerpieces were a hit!
